This year, I&#8217;ve taken on a new mindset: Kids should have fun in the garden, so when it was time to pick some corn, I knew just who to ask for help. They in turn\u00a0decided that corn could not be picked with out some puppy power, and if you look close in these photos, you can see them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1087\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itfarmersblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/puppies-or-corn.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1087\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1087\" title=\"Kids, Puppies and Corn\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itfarmersblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/import\/puppies-or-corn.png\" alt=\"Kids, Puppies and Corn\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1087\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kids, Puppies and Corn<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Since the corn field has giant chunks of corn knocked over, the kids have been treating the area as a playground.\u00a0\u00a0I&#8217;m hoping to teach\u00a0the kids\u00a0about healthy food, not by putting it on their plate, but instead by growing it all around them. They can select what is appealing to them, and I know they will eat well. I had a hard time getting pictures of him because he loved treating the corn as a huge maze. I though it was neat how the Blue Dent corn mixed with the corn next to it,\u00a0which has\u00a0me believe that the pollen\u00a0for each kernel must be different, as there are three color&#8217;s shown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the past, I&#8217;ve always tried to keep the kids out of the garden, as they always seemed to step on my most prized plants.
